Ian Snow is a place of discovery for bold, irrepressible individuals. For decades, we’ve helped creators and makers find remarkable pieces from around the world. Pieces with story, character, and colour. Behind every piece lies a story. A tradition, a way of doing things, carefully preserved through the generations. We’re excited to share these stories with you – and for you to make them part of your own.
In 1969, our dad, Ian, travelled to India on a journey of exploration. Over the next two decades, he returned to India time and again to meet some of the country’s finest, most original artisans. Later, our mum, Jakki, grew the business into a team of twenty odd people, united by a passion for unmistakable style, made by hand and with consideration for people and planet. Today, we’re proud to build on our parents’ legacy.
From our Devon farm, we’re working hard to find more remarkable artisans from around the world. So when we spot something truly unique, we can share it with you.

Ian Snow are a small, family business with a solid focus on sustainability, environmentally friendly products, including reselling vintage items and sourcing products that use creative methods to re-use materials. They also focus on fair labour and trade practices. This means their selection is smaller, but if you are willing to wait for the right product to come on their site, you will be rewarded by knowing you have an ethically sourced and beautiful item for your home.
Here at Ian Snow we know how important it is for you to receive your purchase quickly and hassle-free, therefore we aim to dispatch all orders as soon as possible. Most of our deliveries will require a signature upon receipt, so please specify an address where someone will be available during normal office hours to sign for the parcel. Breakdown of selection
The items available varies on stock, and is quite wide in scope. Some vintage items, like handcarved bedframes, cost over £1,000, while a lot of the smaller home furnishings are under £20.
